Eurozone Boxer kennel has established itself as the
top breeder of high quality Boxer dogs. Eurozone dogs
are the true ambassadors of the Boxer breed anywhere
they go, and our puppy buyers are proud to own a Eurozone
Boxer. The best proof for the last statement is the
fact that many of our puppy owners come back to us for
their second Boxer. More than a few of our puppy people
own two or three dogs from our kennel, and one wonderful
family in Canada shares their life and their couch with
five - yes, five - Eurozone Boxers.
When choosing new owners for our puppies, we look for
people who do not settle for anything but the very best,
in both the quality of their new puppy, and the care
they are willing to provide for him or her. We look
for people who know and love dogs and are committed
to providing great quality of life for their canine
family members. There is no excuse for neglecting the
dog's physical or emotional needs, and we expect our
puppy owners to offer their dogs the same quality of
care we provide to ours - no corner cutting and no compromises!
We want our puppies to be well trained, well groomed,
well maintained, and most of all well loved!
Eurozone is not a commercial kennel, nor a shop. Unlike
in some other kennels, here it is not possible to just
drop by one sunny afternoon, hand the money and pick
a pup off the shelf. There is a pre-sale screening in
place, and we are quite selective about who does and
who does not get approved for one of our puppies. We
utilize several screening techniques, starting with
a phone interview and filling out a questionnaire, to
ID checks and house visits. While a small select category
of puppy buyers are approved during the initial phone
interview, statistically, we reject over seventy percent
of all initial inquiries at the first round of prescreening.
We feel it is our ultimate responsibility as breeders
to make sure our puppies end up in the best possible
homes, and we are on constant guard against puppy-millers
looking for breeding stock, people that are not suitable
to own a Boxer due to their living conditions or their
personalities, and those that regard a dog as their
image enhancer. Unlike some other breeders, we do not
discriminate against buyers by category. Single people
and families looking for a Boxer companion, from Europe
or America, beginner and experienced breeders, show
handlers and advanced dog sports trainers, Boxer breed
experts and those looking to get their first one - all
are equally welcome to apply. We do not have puppies
often, and while generally demand exceeds supply in
our kennel, you can be sure that if we liked you and
felt you would make a great owner, we will see to it
that you get a great puppy.
By getting a Eurozone puppy you become a member of our
family. The price you pay for the puppy is also a ticket
to our extensive support system, be it helping with
training, putting together a balanced diet, ear taping,
show handling, finding the right supplements or establishing
your own breeding program - we are only a phone call
away any time you need advice or help.
If you are looking for "just
a dog" and do not differentiate between a bicycle
and a Mercedes, Eurozone puppy is probably not for you.
Eurozone puppy owners are those who consciously choose
to have créme de la créme in temperament,
trainability, health, nobility, breed type and physical
appearance of their Boxer. We regard our puppies as
living works of art, and we want the people we choose
for them to know and appreciate the hard work that went
into creating their new companion.

Applying
To apply for a puppy, please express your interest by
sending an e-mail or phoning us. We would like to know
a little about you and your family, your experience with
dogs in general and Boxer breed in particular, as well
as your reasons for considering a Eurozone Boxer and your
expectations and preferences. If we are going to have
a Boxer in common, we
need to first get to know each other! *July'06 update
- all new puppy inquiries are accepted by phone only*
Please be sure to include your full name, your kennel
name if applicable, and the country of your residence
in your signature line. We do not reply to anonymous e-mails.
We do not consider e-mails that consist of one sentence,
e.g. "Hi there, how much are your pups, reply as
soon as possible."
What follows is essentially a dialogue between you as
a potential puppy owner and us as a breeder of your future
Boxer. You are welcomed to encouraged to ask questions,
be it about the Boxer breed in general or our breeding
program. You will be asked to provide a copy of your identification
and invited to undergo screening. |
 |
Our major pet peeve
I must say we cringe every time we receive an inquiry
for a puppy of specific color and markings. While we
can take a certain degree of color obsession from someone
who is looking for their first pet and lacks any understanding
of the Boxer, we simply do not tolerate breeders inquiring
for a puppy of specific color or marking pattern. As
breeders we believe that the Boxer is the most difficult
breed to create just right. In our breed, dogs that
combine correct breed type and body structure, as well
as flawless temperament and robust health are rare gems
and should be cherished regardless of their color, as
long as it is the one permitted by the Standard. Light
reds, deep reds, orange reds, barely brindle, black
brindle, medium brindle, with white toes, with white
socks, with black face, with white pencil stripe, with
large white blaze, with full collar, with half-collar,
symmetrically marked, half-muzzle white, whatever -
they are all Boxers and they are all beautiful!
We are upset every time we receive an inquiry from a
person that obviously pays more attention to the color
than to the qualify of the dog. We would like to explicitly
ask all of those looking for a "flashy fawn male
with thin stripe between the eyes, dot of white on the
neck, three white toes on the left front foot, high
sock on the right front foot, and some white under the
tail not exceeding 2.5 inches in diameter" to go
look elsewhere.

 |
Screening
Each potential puppy buyer is screened by us in regards
to their living conditions, ability and willingness
to care for the dog, understanding the breed's requirements,
and their experience with dogs. Typical screening consists
of filling out a questionnaire, answering follow-up
questions, submitting ID copy, providing references
or having a house visit, and a phone/personal interview.
Additional requirements might have to be met depending
on your situation. Should you have any preferences in
regards to puppy's gender, this is the time to mention
them. You will be asked questions about your personality
and life style as we try to see what inborn characteristics
of temperament the puppy should or should not have in
order to provide a perfect match to your family and
circumstances. It is in everyone's best interests that
you give thought to our questions and answer them sincerely
throughout the screening process. There is no need to
try to impress us.
Only the best homes deserve our puppies,
and we often refuse sales if we feel a person inquiring
would not make a good European
Boxer owner. Eurozone Boxer kennel does not make
sales a priority, and we will decline the application
if an inquirer appear unsuitable to own a Boxer or has
questionable intentions.
|
 |
Natural rearing
Eurozone Boxer kennel takes pride in maintaining our
dogs and all of our puppies as nature intended. Our
Boxers enjoy raw natural meals carefully prepared at
home from the best ingredients found on the market.
We strictly limit the number of vaccines our dogs and
puppies receive. We use gentle holistic preventatives,
natural supplements, herbs, homeopathic treatments and
other alternative therapies for treating all our dogs.
Good breeding practices and strict selection play a
very important role in our Boxers' superb health and
condition, but natural maintenance is of at least equal
importance. We are well aware that most of our puppy
buyers are those who have had unfortunate experience
with their previous Boxer's poor health and who are
looking for a puppy with the best potential for a full
problem-free life. Please realize this kennel feels
strongly against commercial dog foods and conventional
preventative medicine. We give definite preference to
people who demonstrate good knowledge, or at least sincere
interest, of holistic dog maintenance. We go out
of our way to breed Boxers with healthy immune systems,
and we do not like placing our puppies with families
that are not prepared to do their best to help their
Boxer live a healthy long life.

 |
Waiting list
We maintain a waiting list for our upcoming litters,
and should your application be approved, your name will
be added to it. Please note that we do not accept people
whose names are on any other breeder's waiting list.
We accept a maximum of five to six inquiries per litter
in advance.
Should there be more than five/six puppies in the litter,
they become available at the age of 7 to 8 weeks, after
the final evaluation and grading. If we have less than
five/six puppies, or if there is no puppy matching your
requirements, we can either transfer your name on the
waiting list for the next litter or refer you to another
breeder. Having no set preferences in gender, and more
importantly color and markings ups your chances considerably.
Color and markings do not make a Boxer,
it is his temperament and type that do. In those rare
situations where there is no puppy for you in the most
recent litter, we will try to make sure you have other
options available to you. Once your name is accepted
on the waiting list, we take it as our responsibility
to provide you with a great puppy. Many times we
can offer a puppy born to one of our stud dogs in another
kennel or a puppy from one of our fellow breeders. The
main point here that once accepted you can be sure you
are not getting away without a good Boxer! :)
|
 |
Grading
This is the exciting part.
When our puppies
are in between 7 and 8 weeks old, they undergo thorough
temperament and conformation evaluation. This is a lengthy
process and can take us one to two full days to complete.
The evaluation procedures we use are unique and have
been developed by us specifically for testing Boxer
puppies in regards to their future potential. Once
completed, each puppy is graded and classified as to
his/her quality. We take time to go over evaluation
results and decide on final puppy placements.
We will contact you shortly after and let you know which
of the puppies
matches your requirements the best. We will provide
you with a full report on that puppy. Eurozone puppy
reports must be the most complete out there, and we
often get complimented by pet buyers and other breeders
alike as to the complexity of our evaluation (see sample
report). Sometimes we will offer a choice between
two puppies if in our opinion both are perfectly suitable
for a particular family, but more often than not it
is one puppy that we offer.
|
 |
Choosing a puppy
When we have a litter born in our house, we spend the
following two months practically glued to the whelping
box. By the time the puppies are ready to leave, we know
everything there is to know about their personalities,
their quirks, their strong and weak points. Nobody knows
our puppies better
than we do, and we are proud of making perfect puppy/people
matches for many years now.
There is no choosing right given to the future owner.
We pick a puppy for each person on the waiting list according
to his/her conformation and temperament preferences. There
has never been and absolutely will not be choosing puppies
from photos placed on our web-site! Your Eurozone puppy
will be chosen for you, and we take every responsibility
in making a successful match. To ensure you will get just
the right puppy, please take extra time to carefully communicate
your preferences to us well in advance. There is no final
placement decisions until the puppies are a minimum of
7 weeks old, and after last evaluation each of the people
on the waiting list are informed which puppy has been
picked for them. Every future owner has all rights to
either accept or decline the chosen puppy. |
 |
Decision
Once made an offer, we expect you to let us know your
decision on whether you accept the puppy. Go over the
puppy report carefully and discuss the puppy with your
family. Our reports are factual and are never meant to
make the puppy appear better than he or she is. There
are no perfect puppies, as there are no perfect dogs,
and it is important you understand your future puppy's
strengths and weaknesses and make sure that the puppy
is indeed just what you were looking for. If you have
any questions about the puppy, by all means you are welcome
to ask them.
Irregardless of which category
the puppy is graded, you can be sure he or she comes from
the best of the best and has an excellent pedigree. All
our puppies have
parents that have been rigorously tested in regards to
their genetic health and temperament. Regardless of the
grade, all our puppies
share the same quality of care. The differences between
our companion and show quality puppies
are rather minute and most of the times are not visible
to someone without extensive experience. |
 |
Deposits
A nonrefundable deposit consisting of 25% of the puppy
price is required on your puppy to keep him or her assigned
to you and off the available list until shipping/pick
up.
Please note that unlike most other breeders we do not
accept any deposits before the grand evaluation of the
puppies at 7 to 8 weeks of age. You are not obligated
to pay for the puppy until his/her quality can be accessed
and discussed with you. We feel it is not fair to puppy
buyers to demand payments before the litter is born
or while the puppies are still too young and their temperament
and conformation qualities are uncertain.
Once the deposit is made, should you be unable to take
the puppy within a specified time frame, your deposit
will not be returned. On rare occasions we accept a
deposit on a puppy and are unable to let him go due
to sudden sickness or any other reason, the deposit
will be returned to you in full.

Bargains
Our pricing schedule is made available on this web-site,
and there are no hidden costs. Not being commercially
concerned with dog breeding, we feel our pricing schedule
is fare. What you must know is that no reputable breeder
ever derives financial gain from puppy sales. When breeding
is done properly, the puppy sales cover only a small
part of the total costs of running a quality breeding
program. There are people who are in it for profit,
and in order to cut their costs such breeders do not
do health tests, do not show or trial their dogs, do
not invest into educating themselves and provide poor
quality care to their puppies. There is place for everyone
in this world, but we do look down upon such practices.
Bargaining over a puppy is absolutely not acceptable
in our kennel! A purchase price of a puppy is only a
fraction of the costs a responsible dog ownership entails,
and we feel those who are unable or unwilling to afford
a quality puppy will not be willing or able to afford
quality care. Additionally, we feel that asking for
a "deal" on a puppy is akin to bargaining
with Picasso over one of his paintings. Please know
that those who try to bargain with us over a puppy get
their applications automatically rejected. One gets
what one pays for in all areas of life.

Discounts
At our discretion we offer discounts for the following
four categories of puppy inquirers:
* residents of Eastern Europe (countries of Bulgaria,
Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia
and ex-USSR, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia);
* people who have purchased a Eurozone
Boxer in the past;
* breeders of high reputation and achievements (involved
in breeding for a minimum of 10 years and have bred five
or more national champions)
* owners of two or more dogs (at least one of them must
be a Boxer) that have achieved SchH 3 or equivalent owner-trained
OR three or more dogs (at least two of them must be Boxers)
that have achieved national championship. |
 |
Contracts
We require a detailed sales contract to be signed before
releasing the puppy to the new owner. There are different
contracts for different puppy categories, however one
requirement is common across is that no Eurozone
Boxer can be transferred to another person without
our prior written permission.
We do not require our pet quality puppies to be spayed
or neutered, however there are heavy fines should any
of our pet puppy owners mismanage the dog we felt was
not suitable for breeding and allow him or her to have
puppies.
By bringing puppies
into the world we feel we are responsible for their well
being and the quality of their care. When we place the
puppy, this responsibility is transferred from us onto
the new owner. Should the new owner be unable to care
for his Eurozone Boxer
at any point, we will accept the dog back and search for
another suitable home. No dog from our kennel should have
an uncertain future, and no Eurozone dog should ever enter
a rescue or a shelter. We are always there for them, ready
to step in and help. |
 |
Shipping
We do ship if necessary and have vast experiences with
shipping inland and overseas due to our prior involvement
with EBZ Custom Importing program. We track all our
puppies that are
shipped and only ship when and how it is best for the
puppy and do not allow for more than one stop en-route.
We do not ship puppies before 8 weeks of age.
We ship through a highly reputable cargo agency that
only works with selected few airlines. These airlines
are selected for their reputation in handling animals.
We have successfully shipped puppies
with KLM, Lufthansa, SAS, Swiss Air, LOT, Air Europa,
CSA, Finnair and Air France to practically every corner
of the world.
Dogs are shipped in a special climate controlled hold
of a cargo airplane. Most puppies sleep throughout the
flight. We are confident about shipping our puppies
and know through our experience that air shipping does
not stress them any more than a long car ride does.
Many fears about shipping puppies come from our own
air travel related phobias, and in most cases they are
completely unfounded.

 |
Shipping within Europe
We can usually provide shipping on a nonstop or one-stop
flight to every major European city. Most shipments within
Europe arrive the same day they are sent.
The prices for shipping puppies within Europe are around
€ 250 - € 500 and can fluctuate according to
the season and airline policies. The shipping price includes
a crate, European pet passport, veterinary examination,
air fare, agency fee and customs paperwork when necessary.
Some limitations exist in regards to outside temperature,
and it is not possible to ship animals during extremely
hot or extremely cold weather.
Please inquire about shipping to your specific location
as the prices do fluctuate up or down according to the
season. |
 |
Shipping to North
America
We are able to organize shipping to the following destinations:
Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver,
Detroit, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Memphis, Miami,
Minneapolis, New York, Newark, Philadelphia, Phoenix,
San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, Washington DC.
A usual price for shipping to North America is around
€ 400 - € 700 and includes a crate, European
pet passport, international veterinary certificate, air
fare, agency fee, customs paperwork and overnight boarding
in either Amsterdam or Frankfurt where the puppy is taken
out of the crate, fed and watered.
Please inquire about shipping to your specific location
as the prices do fluctuate up or down according to the
season.

Shipping to other
destinations
It is possible to organize shipping practically to every
corner of the world. Inquire for prices.
Shipping to the UK is possible, and there is no quarantine
for dogs over 9 months of age. Extensive paperwork is
required, and additional expenses related to the UK Pet
Passport and boarding the dog until it is of age to travel
can run quite high.
Shipping outside Europe and North America is possible,
however every country has a different set of rules and
regulations in regards to dog import. Some countries require
panels of exotic blood tests and a multitude of preventative
treatments to be done in advance of importing, others
demand a government issued import permit, yet others send
all dogs arriving in straight to the quarantine station.
Should your country have any special requirements for
animal import, please inform us of this when you apply
for the puppy. In some cases complying with the import
requirements is too time consuming for us and/or too stressful
for the puppy, and in such instances we will refuse the
sale. |
 |
Hand delivery
Some people prefer hand delivery over shipping. When a
puppy flies with a person, he is under constant supervision
and enjoys extra attention of having his own personal
tour guide. For some countries there is not much difference
between the price of shipping a puppy as cargo and a round-trip
ticket for a person, as in the latter case the puppy travels
as excessive luggage and the shipping is priced differently.
In some cases personal hand delivery of your new puppy
is a possibility. We can fly to your home country anywhere
in the world with the puppy in a soft sided carrier, or
we can drive the puppy to your house ( for obvious reasons
within Europe only). All costs of hand delivery are to
be covered by the buyer.
This option is rarely available due to our busy schedules,
but please inquire with us if hand delivery is something
you would be more comfortable with. |
 |
Pick up
We are always happy to welcome visitors who arrive to
pick up their Boxer
puppies. The new puppy owners are happy to meet their
puppy's dam and littermates, and we like being able to
meet the new mom or dad of our puppy in person.
For obvious reasons local buyers choose this option, but
we have had people from as far away as California USA
and Israel come to us for their puppies.
Considering our current
location, you will have to fly to Budapest. We will
help you find accommodation and will show you around,
but we are usually not available to pick you up from the
airport and drive you back.
Visits are by appointment only. Visits that require our
extensive presence for over one day might be restricted
during a show season or when we have a younger litter
to take care of, or if it interferes with previously scheduled
hand delivery of another puppy. |

White puppy
A puppy of white base color might be available once every
few years - we do not breed for white and try to avoid
producing whites, but every time we breed two flashy Boxers
together we have a 25% chance of getting a white puppy.
White coat color is a disqualification fault by the Standard,
but white puppies do not differ from their colored littermates
in temperament, health or conformation. Our white puppies
are not deaf, blind or otherwise unhealthy. White puppies
can make wonderful pets.
A white puppy must be applied for well in advance. These
puppies cannot be bred from.

Family companion puppy
A colored puppy, red or brindle, flashy or solid, that
is not the pick of the litter, but close behind. These
are very healthy puppies with excellent dispositions,
typical heads and good bodies. A male puppy that misses
a testicle and would have otherwise been graded show quality
falls into this category as well. Any puppy that is less
of a candidate for finishing his/her championship but
the one we feel would make an excellent family companion.
Eurozone Boxer kennel has established
itself as the top breeder, and this high standard is reflected
in our pet quality puppies. Many experienced dog people
feel that our pet quality puppies' quality exceeds that
of most other breeders' show puppies. You will
be proud of this puppy. Many of them make excellent Obedience
and Agility prospects.
Almost all of our litters produce a few puppies of family
companion quality. These puppies cannot be bred from.

Working prospect
A colored puppy that possesses the right amount and balance
of drives to be considered a good prospect for the sport
of Schutzhund, IPO or French/Mondio Ring. These are puppies
with supreme focus, energy and confidence levels, little
environmental sensitivity and rather high group dominance
levels. These are not merely puppies that we think will
be able to pass the initial SchH 1/IPO 1. These are puppies
that we feel with the right handler and the right training
will compete and be successful at the trials. Once the
puppy displays these qualities, we support and develop
them from early on. You can be sure the working prospect
puppy has not had incorrect handling during his life with
us, we treat these puppies as if we planned on competing
with them ourselves. These puppies come from the family
companion category, but have that extra edge in their
inborn temperament.
Attention - working prospect puppies are NOT recommended
for pet homes or families that will not be able to keep
the dog busy and provide advanced training.
Not every litter produces good working prospect puppies,
and they must be applied for in advance. These puppies
cannot be bred from.

Show prospect
A colored puppy that comes close to the Standard. These
puppies are reserved for people who show and breed Boxers.
We feel strongly that only the best should be bred and
shown, and we are very strict in our grading. Show quality
puppies are the ones that stand out for their structure,
type and nobility. Buyers from North America and the UK,
please note that we do not differentiate between marked
and unmarked puppies when grading for show. It is not
enough for a puppy to look outstanding to be graded as
a show prospect. His or her temperament must be true to
the Standard as well in order to qualify for this category.
Eurozone show prospects must have their ears cropped,
with one exception outlined below.
In case the puppy is to reside in a country that does
not allow ear cropping but where it is possible to show
cropped dogs, the puppy's ears must be cropped.
With countries where showing dogs with both cropped ears
and docked tails is banned, the puppy must have the ears
cropped.
If the puppy will reside in a country where showing cropped
dogs is banned, but where it is possible to show docked
dogs, the cropping is not necessary.
We are proud to say that almost every litter we breed
produces one or several show quality puppies. These puppies
must be applied for in advance and come with breeding
rights.

Show/working prospect
A colored puppy that possesses excellent type, conformation
and proper drives to make him/her likely to be successful
in the show ring and at the working trials. We must be
able to observe both a promise of great conformation and
outstanding working abilities as described in the previous
two categories to qualify the puppy as a show and working
prospect. We are extremely selective about who we place
a puppy from this category with, as there are only very
few people out there who are able to commit to providing
advanced training and managing the dog's show career.
Good credentials are a must to be considered for such
puppy.
Eurozone show prospects must have their ears cropped,
with one exception outlined below.

If the puppy will reside in a country where showing cropped
dogs is banned, but where it is possible to show docked

These puppies are elite and do not happen often even in
the best of breedings. These puppies must be ordered in
advance and come with breeding rights.

Pick of the litter
A colored puppy we feel is extra special and is reserved
for people who want to show, breed, or those who are not
interested in breeding but want to own the very best.
These are the puppies we feel with the right owner and
the right circumstances will be able to compete for the
highest titles available. We may grade only one or two
in any litter as the highest quality, sometimes there
are none. In most cases these puppies stay in our kennel
and further contribute to our breeding program, but sometimes
we can let one go when there is more than one in the litter
or when we are unable to keep a puppy.
If the pick of the litter puppy is placed for shows, the
puppy must have his/her ears cropped, with one exception
outlined below.
In case the puppy is to reside in a country that does

Adolescent untitled
show or working prospect
An older colored puppy graded as a show or working prospect
that we retained beyond the age of four months. Sometimes
we keep two show or working prospects from the same litter
in order to evaluate them better and find out which one
is more suitable for our breeding program. It is not necessarily
the best of the two that we keep, but the one that fits
into our particular breeding plan better. A dog from this
category is an excellent choice for people who prefer
to buy an older puppy when his/her potential is more visible
and where a certain guarantee can be given about the puppy's
development. If we retain such puppy over the age of one
year, we will give a full panel of genetic health tests
to the dog, and he/she will enter the next category of
young untitled show quality adult with complete health
tests.
Adolescent show prospect puppies are rarely available,
come with breeding rights and have had their ears cropped.

Young untitled show
quality adult with health tests completed
A young adult Boxer between 1 and 3 years of age that
was graded as a show prospect and remained in our kennel
until the age when the genetic health tests are usually
given to breeding prospects. Only the dogs that were able
to achieve the following grades on their tests can be
offered under this category: HD - A, B or C; spondylosis
- 0 or 1, Doppler heart velocities, both aortic and pulmonary
- under 2 m/s. These are excellent breeding prospects
for people who don't want to risk buying a puppy that
might not pass all of the health tests when fully grown.
Young untitled fully health tested show quality adults
are rarely available, come with breeding rights and have
had their ears cropped.

Titled adult show dogs
In extremely rare cases titled adult Boxers can become
available. These are mostly the dogs of our breeding that
were placed in show or working homes and had to be returned
to us due to family emergency, sudden illness or death
of their owners. Sometimes it can be our own dog that
did not fit in the group well.
Titled adult show Boxers are rarely available, come with
breeding rights and in most cases have had their ears
cropped.

Adult pet quality dogs
Very rarely we have an adult Boxer available - a retired
matron, usually quite titled, a show prospect that didn't
turn out or a pet dog of our breeding that we took back
due to some emergency circumstances in their previous
families. All proceeds from such sales go to the local
breed rescue organization.
Prices vary according to the quality and age. No breeding
rights come with these dogs.
