We received the most terrible news this morning.
Little Zora is gone.
No ray of sun will catch the sparkle of her coat, no patch of grass will mend to the shape of her paw, no cheek will feel the texture of her tongue,
and no eye will see the shape of the beautiful, cheerful and loving girl ever again. How hard to believe. How impossible to accept.
I can still feel the little brick of her weight when the surgeon placed her into my hand on the day she was born. As a baby, she was her mommy's girl, always crawling away from her siblings to curl her little body in the crevice of Jenny's neck, all warm and cozy. Was it a sign that she will be the first one to go, to follow her mom to the endless fields? Run free, little girlie, run fast, and may Jenny take good care of you in heaven. Until we all meet again...

Reddy was a ninth puppy in his litter and was born too small. Many efforts went into keeping him alive, but he kept loosing weight.
He stayed with us for seven short days before loosing his battle.
In memory of Reddy we planted a miniature red rose bush over his grave.
Statistically, as much as twenty percent of newborn puppies never reach weaning age. We know it, and you probably know it too.
But Reddy was not just another number in that sad statistics.
Reddy was a brave little fighter, despite his age, and he wanted to live. He was a true Boxer in his spirit, and he would never give up.
We are still grieving now, over a year later. He will be in our hearts forever.
